Welcome new members

The following people have joined or rejoined the Bluewater Bay Tennis Center recently:   Cole Willey, Gabrielle Sorgnit, the Chris Chaney family, the John Kolen family, the Chris Poate family, and the Rich Lange family.  Please welcome these new members when you see them on the court.

Summer Junior Development 

The schedule for the 2010 Summer Junior Development program is now available in the pro shop.  A total of six weeks of camps will be offered throughout the summer.  Sign-up now to reserve your spot.

High Performance

The High Performance group will begin again the first week of the Summer Junior Development program.  This group is designed for those who are serious about improving and playing in higher level tournaments.  Contact Doug or Jon for more information.

Junior Tournament

Bluewater Bay Tennis Center had several junior members who faired well in the recent Okaloosa CARES Jr Aces tennis tournament.  Maddie Hsiang won the Girl's 12 singles and PJ Shaw won the Boys 12 Doubles.  PJ also made it to the finals of the Boys 12 singles, Hatten Huff came in second in the Girls 10 Singles, Drew Barthel lost in the Boys 14 Doubles finals, Josh and Alex Wagner lost in the finals of the Boys 18 Doubles, and Monica Hsiang and Maddie Prichard lost in the finals of the Girls 14 Doubles finals.  Good job team!!

Junior Tournament Travel 

The Bluewater Bay Tennis Center is now offering travel services to junior tournaments.  For local tournaments with no overnight stay, full High Performance students receive free travel to the tournaments, part-time High Performance and regular Junior Development students are charged $25 per tournament, and players not in the Junior Development program are charged $50 per tournament.  For travel tournaments that require at least one night stay, High Performance students are not charged, Part-time HP and regular JD students are charged $25 per day, and players not in the JD are charged $50 per day.  These fees do not include entry fees into the tournament, nor do they include hotel and food costs.  The fees listed are for transportation and coaching fees only.
